Alfred, the protagonist, is the most dynamic character in the book. He undergoes many changes, both physical and emotional, and grows significantly throughout the length of the text.

Lipsyte explores a number of issues— especially those that confront teenagers—through Alfred: growing up in a dangerous neighborhood, financial struggles, drug.

This is an enlightening book about the politician whose name is often mentioned as a presidential contender.

That's what brought me to this book, which seems well-sourced and well-researched. I should probably read a more pro-Cuomo book (like Cuomo's own) to hear the other side, but what this book makes clear is that Cuomo comes with a lot of 4/5.

Having loved the Summoner books by Taran Matharu I was so excited when he announced his new series The Contender especially as it was set in a world with dinosaurs. And this book did not disappoint.

The Chosen opens with Cade already in this alternate world faced with a creature he’s never seen before so right from the beginning we’re /5. Because I’m writing a book and it all had to happen. The Contender: The Story of Marlon Brando is not a bad read, but it's pretty long with many points of slog. However, I am really cautious about giving the author full credit for original work because I already read his other book on Elizabeth Taylor and he lifted practically everything from Kitty Kelley's book The Last Star; I am not sure right now if he did the same for Brando because it's /5.
